Several years ago we made a trip to Denver, Colorado, Del's hometown. There he has a son and grandchildren as well other family and friends. They are the main reason for the visit but it is also wonderful to see the beautiful sights of the state. Below on the left you see the Redrocks, a formation west of Denver. On the right is a picture of the state capitol taken from the "Sunken Gardens"

While visiting Del's sister and family in California, Betty and he enjoyed lunch on the Sacramento River. They had a very nice meal on the floating restaurant. However the greatest pleasure was sharing the day with family. The group included Margaret, Lowell and their two children, Anne and Steve. Also attending were Del's brother, Joe, and his wife, Ida

In the Fall of 1997 we met the Petersons in Lake Tahoe for a few days of golfing, dining and casino hopping. On our way there we visited Burney Falls in Northern California. They are a spectacular, beautiful sight. This postcard gives you an idea. Later Del painted the scene and will show it to you sometime.

In September, 1998 we went golfing with the Petersons. The destination this time was the Running Y Resort near Klamath Falls, Oregon. While there we made a side trip to Crater Lake. After "doing" the gift shop we finally got the girls to pose for a picture at the lake

In May, 1998 we took an auto trip to the state of Washington and to British Columbia Canada. We were in Victoria for a weekend; that Sunday was Mothers' Day so it was crowded. We enjoyed high teas, excellent dining, sightseeing and of course Butchart Gardens. Below are a few of the special delights we experienced.

In October, 2000 we attended a reunion of the 90th Bomb Group in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there we did some sightseeing in the area. Included here are some of the highlights.

Here are two views of the Grand Canyon. The most common word used to describe it is "awesome".

Betty in a "tropical forest" with the birds at the Flamingo Hotel

Del in the cactus garden at the chocolate factory
