Del's mother exemplified all a mother should be. She was loved and respected by all who ever met her and by some who only heard of her. Each of her children and grandchildren felt he or she was singled out for special regard. This photo taken in her last years shows her with her four children, Joe, Lynette, Margaret and Delbert.

This photo shows Delbert and Lynette in their early years. He is two years older but she is much cuter. The same can be said today. Although living some distance apart, they have a strong bond and stay closely in touch. They share many memories and treasure the times they were able to be with their mother and siblings.

Margaret and Joseph came along eight and twelve years later. As young children they were with their older brother and sister but WW2 separated them as was true of many families. These two have had a very close relationship over the years. Because of the bond of love with their mother and mutual respect, all the children have a deep affection for each other

In August, 2000 Betty's brother, Bob Imrie, was selected as Grand Marshal of Klickitat County Fair and Rodeo. It was a well deserved honor for this longtime rancher in the Goodnoe Hills area of Washington. He is an influential member of the farming community, having farmed, raised horses and cattle for several decades. He has provided many years of service to the agriculture and ranching industry, as well as the community.

After Pearl Harbor, Bob joined the Air Corps and became a B-17 pilot in the 99th Bomb Group in North Africa. Then he became a B-29 instructor at Harvard (Nebraska, that is).

Subsequently, he returned to Goodnoe Hills, married Dorothy, had a daughter, Candy, and raised wheat. He owns 30 head of horses, including a prize cutting horse. In 1992 he received the Cattleman of the Year award.

Bob served on the board of the famous Maryhill Museum and helped in the planning and completion of the War Memorial at Stonehenge, near Maryhill.
