Canal Committee Meeting

October 23, 2007

The canal committee met on October 23, 2007 at 2 PM The meeting was called to order.

Neil Hare went over the packet he had sent to OSU to see if their engineering department might like to take the canal on as a school project. He had no response at the time so said he would call the dean to be sure he received the information sent then look into sending it off to another school.

Next we discussed the bids from surveyors for mapping at where the canal banks should be. We have received two of the three we requested.

We discussed a letter I had drafted to be sent to firms, members of the Society of Water Scientists, requesting a bid for the restoration work on the canal. It was agreed that Don and Neil would review the letter, make changes then have Sandi type it up and send it out to the three firms Don had chosen from the SWS Member List.

The next meeting will be Nov. 20, 2007 at 2 PM. You are welcome to sit in.
