Board of Directors Special Meeting

The Directors had met at the canal with Ron Staehlin, civil engineer at 1 PM.

President MacPhee called the meeting to order at 2 PM.

Pool Repair Project

 Keenan Loughary presented more information regarding the pool repair project. To have the heaters replaced, the leaks repaired, the pool surface re-coated and a pool cover installed would cost $50,000 to $55,000. 2 heaters having 400,000 BTU each would replace the boiler which we have at this time. The new heaters are 15% more efficient than the current boiler and would cost less than a new boiler. The Directors decided the cover would have to wait at this time due to the cost.

Don Butler made a motion to authorize $22,500 for pool repair and water stops, not to include pool cover.

Amended MSP

Larry Dahlke amended motion to add that Randy Kindig be given a job schedule by Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 and this project to be financed from the reserve account. Randy Kindig seconded.

The motion carried 5 yea votes to 1 nay vote.

Canal Project

Ron Staehlin agreed to do exploratory work for the permit fees with the remainder of the money that was appropriated for the canal study. He will have that information to the Directors by the April 18th regularly scheduled meeting. President MacPhee will consult with the corporate attorney for indemnification to protect the community for any work done at the canal by the corporation.

Randy Kindig made the motion to adjourn.
