Flora Alice PAYNE,b: 1874, my grandmother, married John Franklin SMITH, they had 12 kids.
Flora's father was James C. PAYNE b:1848, he married Alcidora WARD among others, they had Jesse Hill, Orastus Hubbard, Flora, and Tennie.
James was the son of Jesse Eppi PAYNE and Louisa McDANIEL. Louisa was the daughter of Sally LAMB and Stacy McDANIEL.

Jesse Eppi PAYNE b:1807-8 in SC, married Louisa McDANIEL, BORN 1814 KY, They wed in SHELBY COUNTY, TN 25 FEB 1832.
