McCloud 25 Operating on the Oregon Coast Scenic

August 23, 2011

On August 23, Waldport's two railfans, Lloyd Palmer and yours truly, headed up to Garibaldi to ride and chase the McCloud 2-6-2 No. 25, which has been purchased by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad and had started operating there the week prior. Our luck was good, as both cab rides were available on the first run of the day, at noon, so we both purchased them. After a quick lunch at the DQ across the street, we joined engineer Dave and fireman Martin (don't call me Hansen) in 25's cab.
