Concept: The market is: "the wage earner", at a get by from "pay check to pay check income", $5.00 is the amount in his pocket that is "expendable" without having to justify it, I.E. Not "the bills money". If you can price your Item at $5.00 The only thing that "matters" is if the buyer wants it, Period.
It doesn't matter what it cost you. So if you buy something in volume, Multiply the price you bought it for by 10,
Divide that amount by $5.00
divide your volume into that many lots
sell at $5.00
You have now made 10 times your capital.

Example: I sell rough emeralds:
I sell 1/2 lbs at $15.60 Thats $31.20/lb + shipping.
shipping will combine up to 5 lbs for $8.00.
So 5 lbs of emeralds would cost $156.00 + $8.00 =
$164.00.
