PUBLIC CAMPGROUNDS:

Along the Alsea River: Three campgrounds run by the US Forest Service are located along the Alsea River. Check with the Waldport Ranger District on seasonal closures and reservation requirements: (541) 563-3211
.

1.  Canal Creek: Turn South (right) at Milepost 7.2 for five miles. This is a small forested campground with pit toilets, water. First come first served. Group site by reservation.

2.  Blackberry Campground: located riverside at Milepost 17.7. Improved nonmotorized boat ramp, restrooms, and picnic site.

3.  River Edge Campground: located riverside at Milepost 23.1. Picnicking and restrooms, boat slide, put in and cable and pulley take out, large group site campground by reservation only.
