Angel Among Us

We’re busy with family and projects and friends,

a thousand things to do!

But when tragedy suddenly strikes,

Whom do we first turn to?

It’s easy to criticize, complain, disagree:

This priest just won’t go along with ME!

Yet when burdened by shame and sin,

Whose blessing can set us free?

Countless hours of teaching and helping,

Countless unknown emergency plans,

Hours of lonely soul-searching and praying,

Could we live a life of such demands?

Called by God and anointed,

Ordained with special Grace,

Let us never forget what a blessing it is

To see our dear priest’s smiling face!
