Personal Credo Assignment
Due: This personal Credo must be written and posted by Tuesday of week nine, i.e., by Tuesday June 4th
Write: Your assignment here is to write a brief and basic Credo (from the Latin for I believe) describing the central elements of what you really and deeply believe. For example "I believe this world is all there is." Or "I believe that God is made manifest in the physical world." Or I believe I have a duty to be compassionate." Or "I believe we are here to learn." Or whatever other statements of belief you want to include in your personal credo. It should be written as simply and as truly as possible. It is a testament between you and you. It can be long or short. (The grade will be based only on how much evidence of thought it shows.)Assignment details
- This credo should express some of the most fundamental basics of what you believe
- It should not be flippant or casual, but should be an expression of what you sincerely hold to be most important and true.
- Your credo should probably be less than one page long
- This statement is to be posted into the "Credo" folder in our virtual classroom. (If the credo is too personal for you to share, you can simply email it to me privately; if you choose this latter option, however, which I do not really recommend, you should also post at least some portion of it to the classroom for others to read.)
- Please respond to at least a few of each other's credos. Your responses must be absolutely respectful of others' beliefs about these things.
