1. On pp 2-6 Smith lists several things he says this book is not. Please explain in your own words what each of those is.

2. On pp 6-11 Smith lists some things he says this book is. Briefly describe, in your own words, what each of those is.

3. On pp 8-9 Smith mentions three ways that we sometimes belittle religion. Describe in your own words what he says those three ways are.

4. On pp 386-89 Smith argues that the world's wisdom traditions speak unanimously in three specific spheres, ethics, virtue, and vision. Please describe what he means by the first two of those, ethics and virtue.

5. On pp 387-89 Smith outlines three specific characteristics of the vision shown us by the world's wisdom traditions. Briefly describe each of those three characteristics.

6. Finally, on pp 389-390, Smith argues that the wisdom traditions teach us to listen. What does he mean by that?
